   Check feasibility

   Identify animal-health and wildlife requirements, operating-carrier restrictions, transit conditions and preparation lead times. Your veterinarian assesses fitness for travel.

   Review scope and price

   Ask for a written, itemized scope. Resolve who handles each stage and what happens if the itinerary changes before accepting a booking.

Birds and other species need an eligibility review first.

Do not assume dog and cat travel rules cover a bird or another animal. Identification of the species, ownership history, wildlife-trade controls, animal-health restrictions, transit permissions and carrier acceptance can all change the options. Some movements may not be feasible.

For a bird enquiry, include the common name and, if known, the scientific name in the breed/species field. Do not send permit scans at this stage. Any CITES review must use the relevant national management authorities; a wildlife permit does not replace animal-health or airline approval.

Moving with your family or for work?

Coordinate your pet’s preparation with your own relocation schedule, but avoid assuming that the pet can use the same flight or arrive on the same day. Ask how owner travel dates, a change of ownership, the number of animals or an unaccompanied move affect the applicable process.

Keep one agreed responsibility list: your veterinarian, required authorities, the operating carrier and any service provider named in the written scope. Plan who can receive the pet if your own travel is delayed. Temporary accommodation should explicitly accept the animal; no destination boarding or partner is implied by this page.
