Before asking for a written quote
- Share pickup and destination city/PIN, model, dimensions where relevant,
  running/rolling status, ground clearance and preferred date.
- Ask which carrier and loading method are proposed, and whether collection
  and delivery are door-based or at agreed loading points.
- List transport, local transfers, loading, applicable tax, waiting/storage
  and any protection charge separately. A blank cost is not zero.
- Confirm availability, cancellation/payment terms and who handles damage
  reporting. Read actual protection exclusions; do not assume coverage.

Before handing over the car
- Confirm the actual transporter's requested documents and identity.
- Photograph all sides and existing marks; record odometer/fuel, keys,
  accessories and a signed condition/handover record.
- Remove personal belongings unless explicitly accepted in writing.
- Share collection access restrictions and an agreed contact for handover.
- For EVs or non-running cars, confirm manufacturer/carrier handling needs;
  do not assume ordinary loading is suitable.

At delivery
- Inspect against the handover record before signing the condition receipt.
- Record any discrepancies promptly using the agreed claims procedure.
